GT-Scan2 can help you find the most effictive CRISPR/Cas9 targets in a genomic region by ranking targets by the predicted cutting efficiency.
As well as this, GT-Scan2 will report the number of potential off-targets for each target, where potential off-targets are other regions in the genome with 0 - 3 mismatches to the target.
GT-Scan2 finds each candidate target in your region of interest and reports:
- the predicted activity of the candidate targets,
- the TUSCAN score
- epigenetic information for over 100 tissues, and
- the number of potential off-targets it has in the genome.
GT-Scan2 ranks candidate targets by scoring them as either "High" or "Low" activity. It sorts successively by this rank, followed by the number of potential off-targets with 0, 1, 2 or 3 mismatches.
This information can help you decide on the best candidate target based on efficiency and specificity.
